Ever wonder how google maps gets street view?

Ever wonder how google maps gets street view?On the way back from lunch in Laguna Beach with my wife, we got a great view of this Google car.  Now I have read about them having AI driven cars, but I am pretty sure this one is still human.  Google maps is an important chiropractic marketing tool, use it well.

Don’t Do More Than 1 Program

Recently I found 2 clients doing more than 1 internet chiropractic marketing program.  The thought is, the more the better, right?  WRONG!

Actually DEAD WRONG.  Because these two companies did not know of each other and even if they did, would not waste the time trying to coordinate.

I think it is obvious, that would be a pissing contest.

So what happened?  The client loses.  Two companies do uncoordinated actions, violating Googles best practices.  Trying to push two cars with one engine if you will.

The client does nothing to work on either.  One company (the better company ;-0 if you ask me) got sabotaged by the other company.

So the client pays more and gets less results.  BAD BUSINESS!

Just because you feel busy and that you “don’t have time” is no reason to make silly mistakes like this.

SO I AM SAYING THIS LOUD AND CLEAR RIGHT NOW:

If you have 1 internet chiropractic marketing company helping you, whether it is us or someone else, DO NOT HIRE A SECOND AND HAVE THEM GOING AT THE SAME TIME.

If you are using one company and it is not working, by all means look for a new company to hire.

But be honest about it and tell the people what you are doing.

This way, you can get advise on how to best transition the action.

Some companies may compliment each other, but this is RARE.  Most will CONFLICT.

In the end, there are very few companies out there that do not wish the best for their clients.

Even if the best means going with a different company sometimes.

Yes, business is about making money.  But good business is caring about the people you serve.

Winning in business is about making enough right decisions.

Get online with a winning team and get that practice of yours BOOMING!

Marketing Mastery Fax Training

I have realized that some chiropractors love faxes.

You get a physical piece of paper.

You can pin it to the bulletin board.

You can pass it around to your staff.

You can keep it on your desk.

Or what ever you want.

So I am launching a special training series ONLY available via fax.

What to get chiropractic marketing help FREE?

Email Marketing Works

Follow-up email marketing works.

About 3 months ago, I did some personal business with a company.  I have been meaning to get back with them for over 1 month, when they had sent me a random email.

The email was nothing about coming in, nothings about sales, just some info.

But it was enough to remind me that I needed to schedule with them.

It had their phone number, so I called and scheduled.

Then I went about my day.

The lesson here is, every email is not selling or scheduling.

But every email should contain a link to your site and your phone number.

Be easy to contact and people will contact you.

Give them good info and a rate that they are comfortable with.

That rate will vary based on target market and value of the data you are sending.

Test how often you can mail good info and get a response of less than 1% or 2% complaining.

You want to send as much as possible with the least amount of complaints.

Email is free and so should be done regularly.

I also would recommend calls and physical mail follow up.

The business with the best follow-up wins!

Chiropractic Screenings

What is a chiropractic screening?

It is getting in front of people you usually do not see.

Getting them to see you, listen to you, get some demo and SCHEDULE an appointment to come into your OFFICE.

So how can you make you website a virtual screening?

Do a video of what you cover in the screening.  Hit the major points, keeping it general for ALL.

Then make your offer for a consultation, have a form to fill out and BOOM that is a screening.

Now how do you get that in front of people that you usually don’t see?

That is the trick of internet marketing, sorry not a 1 post answer.

But you get the point?

You can do something once and have it used over and over and over.

Then you can spend time on the more important things – like family!

Understand this, take action and free you time while expanding your practice!

This economy stinks!

In the United States, you hear on a daily basis, “This economy stinks”.

So many people blame the economy for their problems.

Did you know that some of the BIGGEST companies of our lives were born in the great depression?

Challenges bring up opportunities.  Opportunities are seized by the people that do not whine about how bad it is.

These people don’t make excuses.  Excuses get in the way.

Chiropractic Marketing is an attitude.  If yours stinks, so will your marketing.

Some of the best marketing ideas, done by people with bad attitudes, will fail.

Some of the dumbest marketing by people with great attitudes, will win and WIN BIG!

Stop making excuses.  Get your mind straight, that you can make a difference.

Watch people come to you in droves!

How do you get your mind straight?

That is different for each person, but a wise person told me to surround myself with people that made more money than I do.

Money is not the end all, but it is a good score card for the game of business.

So if I feel that I don’t have enough people around me that are more successful than I am, I go buy a book and pick a new mentor.

Choose wisely, or you may find yourself following the “this economy stinks” crowd.

That crowd stinks!

Once you get your head straight TAKE MASSIVE action!

Chiropractic Marketing Expert

I would like to Apologize for the internet marketing industry

That is a strange title, right?  Yes, it is but it is true.

We have talked to so many chiropractors, we have gotten a TON of feedback on our industry.

So many times we hear, “This company says they do everything you do, for less.”

We also work within the industry and do partner with some companies from time to time to try to create alliances and help our clients get more leads.

We interview and sometimes pay other companies.

I have worked with a number of them personally: Yelp, Citysearch and Patch to name a few.

I get asked all the time, what do I think about this company, or that company?

Now, I never like to bad mouth any company, so I usually dance around those questions.

But I am going to air out the dirty laundry right now, to set the record straight on a few bad apples.

First, if a chiropractic marketing company has been around longer than I have, don’t you think the “we do everything they do” is an IDIOT’S answer?

If you are older and more established, you should be ahead of me in the game!

Instead, you are playing catch up, making your sites look more like mine, adding features we brought out first.

Note: when someone copies something, it may look on the outside that they are doing what the original is doing, but for a serious lack of understanding on why things are done, they are getting it WAY WRONG!

Also, I have call tracking on all our clients sites, so I get to listen to real sales calls that my clients from my so-called competitors.

Yoodle has a rep named Sara.  She is a complete LIAR.  I have called her to confront her on this and she denies it, yet I have the recordings.

She makes statements she can not back up.  She claims she is PROTECTING her source, but she is NOT a journalist.

So I am sorry for the small businesses, in the industry of internet marketing, for any of us having reps like Sara at Yoodle.  It just gives the industry as a whole a bad taste.

Then we get to Rob W at Patch.  We hired Patch to test their ads and this sales rep was promising great results, way better than Google, etc.

I was VERY clear.  I said, “This is the cost per click we get now, you have to beat that.”

He said, “No problem.”  We sign on.  They wanted 3 months.  I gave them 1 and am SO happy I did not WASTE MORE money.

The cost with them at a DISCOUNTED rate from what you would have gotten as a consumer, was 4x’s more expensive than Google adwords.

When I told him that these results stink, he said, “There is nothing we can do to make them better.”

The sales talk was gone and it was just a bunch of NO responsibility, nothing can be done, I never said that, blah blah blah.

This guy made me mad as hell.

Patch, get sales reps that don’t lie!

Again, on behalf of the internet chiropractic marketing industry, I would like to apologize for having reps like Rob W at Patch.

Okay, I am trying to keep this short and clean so there you have it.

I can’t wait from this industry to grow up and get sales reps that don’t flat out lie, and have companies that just sell their product rather than bash everyone elses and deliver what they promise.

So is Yoodle bad?  No, but Sara is a bad sales rep.

So is Patch bad?  No, but Rob W is a bad sales rep.

Are these “we do everything they do” companies bad?  No, not necessarily.

As consumers, we need to get references and do our due dillegence to avoid over-promising sales reps.

Ask them for their sources, ask to talk to current clients of theirs and ask them for a guarantee.

This is not only internet marketing, this is all business that have sales reps that have little or NO responsibility to the delivery of the product.

As company owners, we need to be more responsible to our prospects and ensure our sales reps are properly trained.

As an industry, we need to stop bashing on each other and learn to sell our product value.

As an industry, only sign up people we can help.

And most importantly, in the end, work like hell to deliver the product that is expected to those that sign up.

This advice can and should be taken to heart, by anyone that sells anything.

Sincerely,

Matt Prados

Summer is over – get back to work!

Once again, the summer comes to an end.

The vacations are over and kids are going back to school.

Life returned to normal.

BUT please, do anything but, make your practice “normal”!

Normal is mediocre.  Mediocre is death.

Be extrodinary.  Make a dent in the universe.

How will you change the world?

Matt

Follow Up Chiropractic Marketing

This is not a new idea, but deserves to be mentioned again, again and again.

You go out and market, you do an event, screening, or a talk, and generate leads.

You, or more likely, your CA, calls them 1 time or maybe 2 times, right?

But studies show that most sales happen after the 7 or 8th contact…

So why in the world are you giving up after the 2nd or 3rd contact?

Time?

Organization?

Know how?

There are many “reasons” or excuses.  None of which are useful.

This is one of the only places that I beliieve that automation is a great thing for your marketing.

You see with an initial set up, and maybe a little tweaking each month, or every other month, you can have a great follow up sequence.

And if you put this on autopilot, then this one action alone should get you more conversions from the marketing you are ALREADY doing!

So make sure you have an email service that you can create this follow up system in.

Then make sure your leads make it to the system, to be followed up.

We of course include this in our program for our clients.

Get it done and get more new patients!

Mobile Marketing For Chiropractors

“Mobile Marketing” is no doubt the buzz, just like “social media” was 2 years ago.

Social media now is a given that it should be done.

Mobile will be the same in a year or less.

But most people are way off the mark on WHAT mobile marketing is.

Most people think it is all about your site being mobile optimized.

I completely disagree that this is the main focus.  Yes, have your site mobile friendly, that is fine.

But if that is all you are doing, you are MISSING the boat.

Just as most people still misunderstand that social media is to SEND traffic to your site.

They ONLY add the buttons to their site (thinking this is social media marketing) which sends people AWAY from their site.

I even had this “BRILLIANT C.A.” “that knows more than I”, complaining that we don’t add yellow pages badges to our sites.

People, you don’t want these distracting items that drive people off your site to a site that also has your competition AND other peoples’ PAID ads!

Social media and MOBILE marketing are to drive people to your site and therefore, your business.

So how do you get traffic from mobile?

The best practices on Google maps are HUGE here.  GEO targeting is a major factor for mobile users.

The real estate here is less, so scrolling down is less likely.

There is ONLY 1 paid ad at the top usually.

This is where having REVIEWS is huge.  That is the biggest way to set your listing apart from the rest.  AND help you get to the top rankings.

Other notable or infamous mobile marketing ideas…

Text message marketing to people you do not know or have a relationship with, is the MOST annoying type of marketing I have ever known.

Like robo dialers, this will become highly regulated fast.

As with ALL internet and offline marketing, it is not about the channel as much as the targeted audience, approval to be marketed to, and the message you send.

If you have not yet guessed…

Yes, I have something coming down the pipeline on mobile marketing.

It is HOT,  no one else has told you to do this type of marketing.

I can’t say any more yet, but keep your eyes out for future emails with early bird passes and coupons.

In the meantime get your marketing more targeted, get permission to market to them and send GREAT messages!

And above all ENJOY life!
